About this Caminito del Rey guide

Planning a visit to Caminito del Rey can quickly become confusing. Between different ticket options, transport logistics, and limited availability, it’s not always easy to understand what to book or how to organize your visit.

This site was created to make that process simpler.

Why this site exists

The goal is straightforward: provide clear, practical, and honest information to help you plan your visit without stress.

Instead of overwhelming you with too many options, this guide focuses on what actually matters:

  • understanding the different ticket options
  • knowing how to get there
  • avoiding common mistakes
  • finding the best way to visit based on your situation

Everything is written with a simple idea in mind: help you make the right decision quickly.

Why I created this guide

Roman at Caminito del Rey
A picture of me during one of my visits at the Caminito del Rey

My name is Roman Kugge, and I’ve been fascinated by Caminito del Rey for a long time.

I first discovered it through the famous nerve-breaking videos of the old trail, long before it was restored. The idea of such a dramatic path built along the cliffs immediately caught my attention and i have been fascinated by it ever since.

Later, while working on my German travel blog about Seville (sevillamalanders.com), I finally had the opportunity to visit Caminito del Rey in person. Since then, I’ve been there more than once and have seen how much the experience depends on good planning!

What struck me most is that, despite being much safer today, visiting the Caminito still requires understanding tickets, access points, and logistics — which can quickly become confusing.

And that’s exactly why I created this guide.
